Company

QUANTECH provides the industry with state-of-the-art CAE simulation software applications to solve engineering problems in the fields of metal forming, optimization of casting processes, virtual testing, damage evolution of composites parts, and others, by using intensive computer-based simulation techniques.

QUANTECH was created in 1996 by a group of professors of the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) and researchers of The International Centre for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE).

1996

Start-Up

Quantech

During the first years of the company, QUANTECH developed its first program for simulating metal forming processes.

2001

First commercial version release

Stampack

QUANTECH invested great efforts in development in order to launch its first software package: Stampack, focused to the simulation of sheet metal forming processes.

Stampack worldwide agents network development.

In 2005, QUANTECH has launched the first release of VULCAN, focused to the simulation of casting processes.

QUANTECH has decided to offer customized software in the field of structures, composite materials and industrial processes to other companies, having experienced a success so far.

Quantech set up with AutoForm a worldwide distribution agreeement.
